If you are coming to Goldsmiths from outside of the UK we have a week of special events to welcome you to your new home

Sunday 24 September

2pm Local area tour preregistration required on eventbrite.com
A walking tour of the local area showing you useful shops and services around the Goldsmiths area to help orient new students.
- Students who have booked should meet at Richard Hoggart Building (RHB) info point.

4-6pm International and EU student buffet - preregistration required on eventbrite.com
Come along and enjoy some food and drinks while getting to know your fellow students.

Monday 25 September

1pm Civic reception
A warm welcome to the local community for all new International and EU students by Lewisham's Chair of Council and Goldsmiths Academic Registrar and Director of the Student Experience.

2.30-4.30pm Cream tea reception - preregistration required on eventbrite.com
A traditional British afternoon event and chance to meet fellow students.

Tuesday 26 September

10am Welcome talk - repeated on Friday morning
Staff from our International Office and our Wellbeing Service will share helpful information on being a Goldsmiths student and living in London.
- Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre, Whitehead Building

6.30pm Evening meal in Greenwich - preregistration required, click on meal choice below
A free meal together in a local restaurant. Choice of contemporary Italian food or traditional pies and mash

Wednesday 27 September

9.30am-4pm Day trip to Bicester Village - £5preregistration required on eventbrite.com
Visit the world famous outlet shopping mall, home to many famous brand names.
- Meet at Richard Hoggart Building reception

9.30am-4pm Day trip to Windsor Castle - £5preregistration required on eventbrite.com
Visit the city and Windsor Castle, one of the British Royal Family homes.
- Meet at Richard Hoggart Building reception

4pm Mandarin and Korean campus tours
5pm Cantonese campus tour
Be guided around Goldsmiths in your native language. Organised by Goldsmiths Students' Union.

6.30pm Pub quiz - preregistration required on eventbrite.com
One of Britain's more recent, fun traditions. Join up in teams to answer general knowledge questions and win prizes. Choice of non-alcoholic or alcoholic drinks and snacks.

Friday 29 September

2-5.30pm River Thames boat trip - £6, tickets must be bought in advance from evntbrite.com
Enjoy the striking sights of this beautiful city from a unique river viewpoint. There will be music and refreshments and lots of fun.
- Board at Greenwich Pier (near the Cutty Sark DLR station)
- Alight at Temple Pier (Temple underground station)
