Enrolment dates and how to enrol

Online pre-enrolment

Invitations to enrol online will be emailed to confirmed students from 21 August.

Online enrolment is via My Goldsmiths.

If you have a My Goldsmiths account you can log in and enrol directly, otherwise you will be emailed details of how to create an account. Once logged in, you will be prompted to 'Enrol Now'.

Personal enrolment

This is done by attending a session in the Great Hall in the Richard Hoggart Building.

Bring the required documents (see below) and a member of staff will take you through the process.

If your fees haven't been paid by this point you will be directed to the fees desk in the hall.

During personal enrolment you must show proof of identity, either your passport, driver's license photo-card, national identity card, or birth certificate.

Visa

If you are a non-EEA national you will be required to show evidence that you have a valid visa or immigration document that permits study with Goldsmiths.

This means you will need to bring your original visa and passport with you to your enrolment session. You should also bring with you any letters you have received from the Embassy, or from the Home Office inside the UK when you attend your enrolment session.

Your visa should cover the full length of your course of study. If your visa will expire before your course finishes then please email immigration (@gold.ac.uk) to check whether you can enrol with your current visa.

Tier 4 (General) Visa

If you have applied for a Tier 4 student visa to study with us, then you should have used a visa delivery code to make sure your Biometric Residence Card (BRP) is delivered to our Immigration Advisory Service. If you used the code then your BRP will be given to you at your enrolment event. You don’t need to collect it before enrolment. You can read more about BRP cards online.

If you didn’t use the code, then you will need to collect your full BRP from your nominated Post Office before attending your enrolment session. Check the letter you received from the Embassy in your home country to confirm where your visa is going to be delivered and if you are unsure please email immigration (@gold.ac.uk) for advice.

Accessing Goldsmiths systems and email

Once online pre-enrolment is completed, you will be emailed your Goldsmiths IT account and email details. This will enable you to access our  online student services.

Goldsmiths ID Card

One you have completed personal enrolment you will be able to collect your Goldsmiths ID Card.

You can speed up this process by uploading your photo in advance.

You will need this card to enter the library, borrow books and access certain parts of the campus. If you want to use the library ahead of this you can visit as a guest.

Changing or correcting your name

It is Goldsmiths policy to record students with their legal name as given on any formal document (passport, driver's licence photo-card or national ID) shown at enrolment.

This means the name we have on our enrolment system must match the name on your ID.

If your ID has a different name contact admissions (@gold.ac.uk) before starting the enrolment process.
